Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design

IndoTeak Design together with Architects, contractors, and designers are now incorporating green motives, standards, and requirements into both residential and commercial design. LEED, a green building certification system, is an organized and practical solution that allocates green design, construction, and management solutions for building owners and operators. Buildings and communities are now able to reduce operating costs, increase asset value, minimize landfill sent waste, create a healthier and safer environment, and reduce toxic greenhouse gas emissions. The LEED system was developed by the U.S. Green Building Council in March of 2000 and is now recognized worldwide. Through its well-developed rating system, architects, designers, and contractors are able to earn “green points” and attain 100% LEED certification. LEED components include: the sustainability of the construction site, water use efficiency, energy conservation, the use of waste reduction materials, as well as indoor environmental quality.
